Practice Short Jumps
A big game hunter in India sighted a large Bengal tiger. Since the animal was only a short distance away, the hunter took a quick shot . . . but he missed. Fortunately, the tiger, in leaping toward the hunter, had jumped too far . . . and he also missed. The hunter returned to camp and began practicing short shots. He was determined never to be caught unprepared again. When he went into the jungle the following day, the first thing he saw was the same Bengal tiger . . . Practicing Short Jumps.
Like the hunter and Tiger we get overly focused on our long-range goals and tend to forget that we can only reach them through achieving short range objectives. Not only will the short jumps get you to your goals more easily, but will keep you motivated for longer as you can realistically evaluate your progress. It is very important to keep your eye on your principle purpose…. but don't forget to practice short jumps.
On a side note this story also teaches us that while we are improving ourselves… so are the people around us. So keep your head up high and keep perfecting your skills.
Have an incredible week where you strive to achieve all your short term goals which in turn lead you to reaching your ultimate victory!
